1. About Us
Homestead Plumbing and Heating LTD provides plumbing, heating, and gas services across the West Midlands. Our engineers are Gas Safe registered and fully insured. All work is carried out in accordance with current British Standards and Building Regulations.
2. Quotations
All quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Quotes are based on the information available at the time and may be subject to change if unforeseen circumstances are discovered during the work.
3. Booking and Payment
Booking: Work can be booked by phone, email, or through our website contact form. We will confirm your appointment in writing.
Payment: Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed. We accept bank transfer and cash. For larger projects, a deposit may be required before work commences.
4. Cancellations
We require at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment without charge. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a call-out fee.
5. Warranties and Guarantees
All workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of completion. Manufacturer warranties on appliances (e.g., boilers) are provided separately and are subject to the manufacturer's terms. We register all applicable appliances with the manufacturer on your behalf.
6. Liability
We carry full public liability insurance. In the unlikely event of damage to your property caused by our work, we will rectify it at no additional cost. We are not liable for pre-existing issues with pipework, appliances, or installations that were not part of our scope of work.
7. Access and Preparation
Customers must ensure reasonable access to the work area. This includes clearing furniture, removing personal items, and providing access to lofts, cellars, and cupboards where relevant. Failure to provide access may result in additional charges.
8. Gas Safety
All gas work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers in compliance with the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998. We reserve the right to disconnect any appliance we deem to be unsafe and will advise you accordingly.
